Interpretation Requested:

Historically, "Summer Mode" testing to 1702.2-95 involved opening the self-storing storm window on the storm door and leaving the screen in place. The labs are now saying that the storm door is to be fully open, which renders it effectively absent.

1) With respect to AAMA 1702.2-95, is it the intent of the standard that summer mode testing on a combination door (Primary Side Hinged Door plus attached Secondary Side Hinged Storm Door) be conducted with the Secondary Storm Door fully opened or removed?
2) With respect to AAMA 1702.2-12, is it the intent of the standard that single mode testing on a combination door (Primary Side Hinged Door plus attached Secondary Side Hinged Storm Door) be conducted with the Secondary Storm Door fully opened or removed?
3) With respect to AAMA 1702.2-95, is it the intent of the standard that summer mode testing on a combination door (Primary Door plus attached Secondary Storm Door) be conducted with the Secondary Storm Door closed, but with operable windows fully opened and with the insect screen in the functional position?
4) With respect to AAMA 1702.2-12, is it the intent of the standard that single mode testing on a combination door (Primary Door plus attached Secondary Storm Door) be conducted with the Secondary Storm Door closed, but with operable windows fully opened and with the insect screen in the functional position?
