This voluntary specification establishes the minimum requirements for dimensional stability, weatherability, heat resistance, weight tolerance, and Shore D Hardness of Rigid Cellular Poly Vinyl Chloride (PVC) exterior profiles used in windows, doors and skylights, including frame, sash and all structural profiles related to glass retention and/or profiles that structurally divide lights within a common master frame. This document also includes in process quality control requirements. Rigid Cellular PVC Profile Extrusions are defined as profiles produced in the presence of physical or chemical blowing agents which result in material foaming and reduced profile density. These extrusions include, but are not limited to, those with decorative finishes such as paint, laminates and coextrusions.
