*North American Fenestration Standard/Specification for windows, doors, and skylights
This is the fifth edition of AAMA/WDMA/CSA 101/I.S.2/A440 - North American Fenestration Standard/Specification for windows, doors, and skylights (NAFS). It supersedes the previous editions, published in 2017, 2011 and 2008 under the same title and published in 2005 under the title Standard/Specification for windows, doors, and unit skylights. It is jointly published by AAMA now the Fenestration and Glazing Association (FGIA), the Window & Door Manufacturers Association (WDMA), and the Canadian Standards Association (CSA).

The following significant changes from the previous edition of this Standard/Specification have been made:

(a) Continued harmonization of operating forces and air leakage requirements for windows and doors, including exfiltration for all users
(b) Changes to minimum test size (Gateway), including R-Class no longer has minimum test size and LC-Class adds alternate minimum test size
(c) Limited water designation (LW) expanded to all door classifications
(d) Items related to design guidance and short form specification were removed
(e) Regrouping of like items leading to reorganization of clauses
(f) Clarified requirements of damage and operability after application of 150% of ASD
(g) Covers specific to the U.S. and Canada for compliance with Standards Council of Canada requirements. (All technical content remains the same between the two versions.)

This document is included in Volume 1 (VOL-1).
